One of such houses, "El Corralón" (lumberyard), has a cobbled yard that served in the past as a coach house for a horse-drawn carriage and stable.  A.Botaical Garden  A.Zoo  A.Rose Garden  A.Japanese Garden

 A. The Botanical Gardens, The Zoo, Rosedal, Jardín Japonés and surrounding areas.

The Botanical Gardens has been kept intact since they were created by landscape artist Carlos Thays. Its greenhouses, fountains and statues among the plants species are particularly beautiful. The botanical gardens have a special atmosphere in every season.
The Zoo is especially renowned for the design of its cages, based on the style of the animals' native countries. It is worth taking pictures of such cages and the animals they house, which sometimes take part in unrepeatable situations.
The Rosedal (Rose Garden), designed by Thays, has been revamped in the last years in its original style. It is an exquisite place in which el Puente de los Enamorados (Lover's Bridge), el Patio Andaluz (the Andalusian Yard) and some sculptures like El Beso (The Kiss) are specially worth paying attention to.
The Japanese Garden has Japanese flower species. It is particularly beautiful in spring, when its azaleas are colorful.
In the adjoining park, there is a cute gardener's house, a kiosk and a bridge. Close to them, we can find the Monument to Sarmiento by Rodin, and opposite, the Monument to the Spaniards.a

 B. Rubber Plants, Design Center, Monuments, Pilar Church and the Recoleta Cemetery.

The Rubber Plants in the Emilio Mitre Square are particularly big and their roots make them look like gigantic bonsais. It is worth photographing them at different times in order to obtain surpraising images.
The current Design Center used to be a nursing home. Today it houses stores and restaurants, but still has on its balustrade allegorical statues that used to belong to Banco Provincia.
The most outstanding Monuments are those to General Carlos María de Alvear, Heracles, and The Centaur, very fine artistic works by celebrated French sculptor Emilio Antonio Bourdelle.
Pilar Church is the most important colonial church in the city of Buenos Aires. Its silver altar, sacristy, pulpit and religious images are specially interesting. From its belfry, it is possible to take good pictures of the cemetery.

The tombs in the Recoleta Cemetery make up a very particular set of constructions in different styles with the remains of Argentina's historical personalities, such as Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, Facundo Quiroga, boxer Luis Angel Firpo and Eva Perón.

**Lunch at La Biela Restaurant.

C. Plaza de Mayo and Avenida de Mayo.

Plaza de Mayo and its surroundings have a number of very interesting public buildings and monuments. The Casa Rosada, the May Pyramid, The Cathedral and the Cabildo are worth paying attention to. Quite nearby we can also find the City's Museum, La Estrella Pharmacy, la Manzana de las Luces and San Ignacio Church.

Avenida de Mayo has a myriad of Madrid-style buildings. Most of them are interesting and photogenic. Among them, the palace in which the La Prensa newspaper is located, the famous Café Tortoni, the Chile Hotel, the Los 36 Billares café and the alley Pasaje Barolo. In the Los Dos Congresos Square we can find The Thinker, sculpture by Rodin. Later on we will take photographs of the Congress Building and the dome of the old café "El Molino".

 D. La Boca.

La Boca was a neighborhood created by Italian immigrants where multicolor wooden and tin houses inspired by artist Quinquela Martín coexist. The structure of the iron Old Bridge over the "Riachuelo" is still present as well as the remains of rusty ships and the picturesque street Caminito with its typical Buenos Aires characters and the football

stadium of the local team Club Atlético Boca Juniors. La Boca is a neighborhood with a natural stage design worth being photographed.
